Software Engineers

Candidates must hold active Top Secret/ SCI clearance.

The candidate must have 2-5 years experience in the design and implementation of software systems. Experience in all aspects of code design, implementation, testing, analysis, debugging. Languages used include Fortran, C, C++, Python, Java, as well as GUI related technologies. Experience with X-Midas is highly desired. MATLAB is a strong 2nd preference. Operating systems include Linux, VMS, Digital Unix, Solaris, and Windows. We will assist in relocation.

REQUIRED
•  Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
•  Experienced in LINUX, Java, MATLAB, C, and DSP assembly languages (C/C++/Fortran highly desired).
•  Experience in communications or SIGINT systems development and test.

Systems Engineer, Level 3

Functional Responsibility:  Perform a variety of senior level engineering tasks that are broad in nature and are concerned with system design, risk reduction, implementation and integration, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment.  Serve as key engineering person on projects for both customers and the project teams.  Provide guidance and support to technical and programmatic requirements derivation.  Provide senior technical guidance and leadership of engineering, analysis and development teams.  Guide users and team members in formulating requirements, advise on viability of alternative approaches, and conduct and evaluate feasibility studies.  Responsible for the integration of requirements, design, risk mitigation and technology of complex systems.  Provide guidance and support to ensure seamless incorporation of new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.  Guide and participate in development of technical documentation associated with results analysis and risk mitigation.  Guide implementation of and adherence to the C4ISR/DoDAF process and Capability Maturity Model integrated (CMMi) best practices. Professional Experience:  Must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Twelve (12) years experience in technical program management and/or as a system development team lead.  At least 50% of this experience shall be in programs with particular relevance to SIGINT, Communications Systems, and Information Technology.
  • Ten (10) years experience as a system engineer in programs that encompassed systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test and transition into operations.
  • Five (5) years system engineering experience obtained in an intelligence community environment.
  • Certification and Training: Twelve (12) years as specified above, plus professional experiences and training commensurate with technology curriculums typically associated with a Master’s Degree or equivalent

Information Systems Security Engineer

The Information System Security Engineer shall have at least the following experience:

• At least five (5) years integrating information assurance disciplines into the system design, development, integration, and implementation;

• Recent experience with Defense in Depth principles and technology including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network, and enterprise security architecture. This may include the development, design and implementation of firewalls, and evaluation, review and test of security code.

• Assessing and auditing network penetration testing anti virus planning assistance, risk analysis and incident response.

• Applying security risk assessment methodology to system development, including threat model development, vulnerability assessments, and resulting security risk analysis.

PKI Engineer, Senior SME 

Responsible for developing security configurations and supporting procedures and methods necessary to ensure the safety of information systems and to protect the system from intentional (unauthorized) or accidental (inadvertent) access or destruction while supporting the largest identity management system within the government space.

The ideal candidate will be capable of defining the problems and analyzes and develops plans and requirements in the subject matter area for moderately complex to complex systems. Coordinates and manages the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations for proper implementation of programs and systems specifications in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation. The individual must be a Subject Matter Expert in PKI, Enterprise Linux, SELinux, and KVM.

Must have experience in development, deployment, and configuration of Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure, Certificate Validation Infrastructure (CVI), and the Token Card Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex OS development and design reviews of IT infrastructures
  • Perform application development and design reviews
  • Assist costumer’s with PKE (Public Key Enablement) of systems and devices
  • Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make recommendations to improve reliability, security, and performance of IT infrastructures
  • Ensure systems meet the DoD mandated security requirements for cryptography and FIPS 140-2 publications
  • Review documentation on new and existing systems and develop documentation for the program infrastructure that falls in line with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Develop and direct tests to ensure systems meet requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues
  • Provide system/specialized training and technical guidance
  • Participate in meetings to ensure client needs are met
  • Participate in special projects as needed

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering. 7-10 years of related systems engineering experience within the PKI space or related experience in the engineering field.

Required Experience

  • Experience in DoD PKI and DoD PKE space
  • Strong knowledge in UNIX/LINUX Operating Systems to include but not limited to; SELinux, kickstarts, Ansible, Satellite, and KVM.
  • Strong knowledge in the DoD Security Policies
  • Smart Card Enablement/Smart Card Logon
  • RedHat CS and DS (Certificate Server and Directory Server) Applications
  • Knowledge and experience with OCSP
  • Application development of apache and tomcat
  • Experience in cryptography and FIPS 140-2 Compliance
